Visual Guide to the Cutter Tool

Both the cutter tool (scissor icon) and the zoom tool (lens icon) hide some frequency region. The zoom hides what you don't select, while the cutter hides what you select. The cutter tool not only creates gaps, but can also fill them. The following examples show, into the right column, what happens after you select, with the cutter tool, the gray region of the left column.
